   Indian Vegetarian Recipes - Vegetable Dishes
 
 
 
  Papad Ki Sabzi  
  (Indian senbei cooked in Indian herbs)  
 
INGERIDENTS
Papad 4-5
Oil 4-5 tblspn
Onions (finely chopped) 2
Kachri (ground) 1 tblspn
Garlic (ground) 2 cloves
Red chilli powder 2 tspn
Coriander powder 2 tblspn
Cumin seeds 1/2 tspn
Turmeric powder 1/2 tspn
Yogurt (curd) 3 tblspn
Salt to taste
 
Papad Ki Sabzi, Indian senbei cooked in Indian herbs
 
  METHOD  
 
STEP 1: Mix all the dry spices in uoghurt with 2-3 tablespoons of water.
STEP 2: Heat oil in a pan. Add the cumin seens and onions and fry till the onions get brown. Add the spice mixture to the fried onions and stir till the oil separates.
STEP 3: Break the papads into small triangular pieces and add to the onion and spice mixture.
STEP 4: Add salt and enough water so that the papads are completely immersed in the mixture.
STEP 5: Cook for 10 minutes or till the papads become tender. Serve hot.
