| STEP 1: Heat the oil in a pan and saute the cumin seeds for a few seconds. |

| STEP 2: Add the ginger-garlic paste and fry till well powdered. |

| STEP 3: Mix the dry spices in 1/2 cup of water and yogurt. Add this to the pan and fry well. |

| STEP 4: When the mixture leaves the sides of the pan, add the onions and salt and stir well. |

| STEP 5: Add 1/2 cup of water and cook on a low flame till the onions are tender but not too soft. Serve hot with rotis. |
