   Indian Vegetarian Recipes - Vegetable Dishes
 
 
 
  Bhindi Jhal  
  (Ladyfingers / Okra with mustard paste)  
 
INGERIDENTS
Bhindi (ladyfingers) 200 gms
Mustard oil 2 tblspn
Mustard paste 2-1/2 tsp
Green chillies (slit) 4 tspn
Water 1/4 cup
Salt to taste
 
Bhindi Jhal, Ladyfingers / Okra with mustard paste
 
  METHOD  
 
STEP 1: Wash the bhindi and pat dry completely.
STEP 2: Cut off the tail and head; slit into half.
STEP 3: Heat the mustard oil in a pan and saute the bhindi till it is a little soft.
STEP 4: Add the mustard paste, salt, green chillies and water.
