Indian Vegetarian Recipes
- Vegetable Dishes
Aloo Posto
(Potatoes cooked in poppy seed paste)
INGERIDENTS
Potatoes (diced)
200 gms
Poppy seeds
1/4 cup
Mustard paste
2 tblspn
Turmeric powder
1 tspn
Water
2 cups
Green chillies (chopped)
2 tspn
Salt
to taste
METHOD
STEP 1:
Boil the poppy seeds in half cup of water. Grind into paste and set aside.
STEP 2:
Heat the mustard oil in a pan and saute the potatoes for 3-4 minutes.
STEP 3:
Add the poppy seeds paste, turmeric powder, salt and 2 cups water. Cook till the potatoes are done.
STEP 4:
Add the green chillies and serve immediately.
