  Sweet Potato Dessert  
  (Sweet potatoes blended with milk and decorated with almond slices)  
 
INGERIDENTS
Sweet potatoes 1 Kg.
Milk 850 ml.
Sugar 175 gms
Almonds (chopped) to decorate
 
Sweet Potato Dessert, Sweet potatoes blended with milk and decorated with almond slices
 
  METHOD  
 
STEP 1: Peel the sweet potatoes. Rince and cut them into slices.
STEP 2: Place the sweet potato slices in a large saucepan. Cover with 600 ml milk and cook slowly untill the sweet potatoes are soft enough to be mashed.
STEP 3: Remove from the heat and mash well. There should beno lumps.
STEP 4: Add the sugar and the remaining 250 ml milk to the mashed sweet potatoes. Stil to blend together.
STEP 5: Return the pan to the heat and leave the mixture to simmer until it starts to thicken.
