| STEP 1: Boil the lotus seeds in 1-1/2 cups of water. Leave to sinuer for half an hour. |

| STEP 2: Boil the milk in a pan. Simmer for half an hour or till it becomes thick. |

| STEP 3: Add the lotus seeds and cook for about 5 minutes. |

| STEP 4: Add the sugar and stir till it dissolves completely. |
 |
| STEP 5: Remove from flame ;pour into a serving dish and chill. This dish can also be served hot. |
