Indian Vegetarian Recipes
- Dals / Legumes
Narkel Chola Dal
(Bengal gram with coconut)
INGERIDENTS
Bengal gram (chana dal)
200 gms
Turmeric powder
1 tspn
Oil
2 tspn
Anised (saunf)
1 tspn
Cinnamon stick
1
Fresh coconut (cut into small pieces)
1 tspn
Sugar
1 tspn
Salt
to taste
METHOD
STEP 1:
Boil the Bengali gram with turmeric powder and water till done
STEP 2:
Heat the oil and sautethe aniseed and cinnamon. Add the coconut and saute further for 5 minutes.
STEP 3:
Add the boiled bengal gram and cook for 10 minutes
STEP 4:
Mix in the salt and sugar, serve hot.
